Recently Vietnam released the revision draft of the Battery Standard, from which,in addition to the safety requirement of the mobile phone, table computer and laptop (Vietnam local testing or MIC recognized labs), the performance testing requirement is added (accept the report issued by any organization accredicated with ISO17025). Vietnam used to only demand safety requirement on QCVN101 standard in (**)of primary regulations Circular11/2020/TT-BTTTT. Form the revised draft , we can see that the content of (**)has been removed, meaning that not only safety requirement but also technical performance test is required.
It should be noted that for now it is still in Draft stage. If there is any comment or suggestion on this Draft, it can be fed back to MIC throughout MCM. MCM is positively collecting Industrial comments and suggestions, and give feedback to MIC. Further information will be shared later in time if there is any update.
