▍What is ANATEL Homologation?

ANATEL is a short for Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes which is Brazil governmental authority to certified communication products for both compulsory and voluntary certification. Its approval and compliance procedures are the same both for Brazil domestic and abroad products. If products are applicable to compulsory certification, the testing result and report must be in line with the specified rules and regulations as requested by ANATEL. Product certificate shall be granted by ANATEL first before product is circulated in marketing and put into practical application.

▍Who is liable for ANATEL Homologation? 

The Brazil governmental standard organizations, other recognized certification bodies and testing labs are ANATEL certification authority for analyzing the production system of manufacturing unit, such as product design process, procurement, manufacturing process, after service and so on to verify the physical product to be complied with Brazil standard. Manufacturer shall provide documents and samples for testing and assessment.

More than 50 units from enterprises, industry associations, testing institutions, research institutes and
standardization organizations attended the meeting.
The main tasks of this meeting are as follows: Sorted out the current situation of the industrial chain, analyzed standard requirements and put forward standard plans; Formulate and revise related national standards, industry standards and group standards;
Provide standardized support for testing and certification of headphone products and market supervision and management; Conduct a preliminary discussion on the overall content of “General Technical
Specification for Wireless Earphones”.MCM also selected representatives to participate in this standard meeting through therecommendation of CESI, which is the first time that MCM participated in the standard
system and revision work of electronic product safety Standardization TechnicalCommittee. It is of great significance to participate in this meeting, and indicating that MCM will gradually start cooperation with CESI in more fields and jointly promote the benign development of the industry
