CRS,
BSMI is short for Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, established in 1930 and called National Metrology Bureau at that time. It is the supreme inspection organization in Republic of China in charge of the work on national standards, metrology and product inspection etc. The inspection standards of electrical appliances in Taiwan are enacted by BSMI. Products are authorized to use BSMI marking on the conditions that they are in compliance with safety requirements, EMC testing and other related tests.
Electrical appliances and electronic products are tested according to the following three schemes: type-approved (T), registration of product certification(R) and declaration of conformity (D).
On 20 November 2013, it is announced by BSMI that from 1st, May 2014, 3C secondary lithium cell/battery, secondary lithium power bank and 3C battery charger are not permitted to access to Taiwan market until they are inspected and qualified according to the relevant standards (as shown in table below).

Remarks: CNS 15364 1999 version is valid to 30 April 2014. Cell, battery and Mobile only conduct capacity test by CNS14857-2 (2002 version).

● In 2014, rechargeable lithium battery became mandatory in Taiwan, and MCM began to provide the latest information about BSMI certification and the testing service for global clients, especially those from mainland China.
● High Rate of Pass: MCM has already help clients to obtained more than 1,000 BSMI certificates till now in one go.

On March 12, 2021, BIS issued a notice with the following content: After official internal research and discussion based on the actual situation,the mandatory date of the fifth batch of products is postponed to October 1, 2021 instead of April 1, 2021.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation of India officially promulgated the “Unmanned Aircraft System Rules 2021″ (The Unmanned Aircraft System Rules, 2021) on March 12, 2021 which is under the supervision of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) . The summary of the regulations is as follows:
• It is mandatory for individuals and companies to obtain approval from the DGCA to Import, Manufacture, Trade, Own or Operate drones.
• No Permission- No Take-off (NPNT) policy has been adopted for all UAS except for those in the nano category.
• Micro and small UAS are not permitted from flying above 60m and 120m, respectively.
• All UAS, except nano category, have to be equipped with flashing anti-collision strobe lights, flight data logging capability, secondary surveillance radar transponder, real-time tracking system and 360 degree collision avoidance system, among others.
• All UAS including nano category, are required to be equipped with Global Navigation Satellite System, Autonomous Flight Termination System or Return to Home option, geo-fencing capability and flight controller, among others.
• UAS prohibited from flying in strategic and sensitive location, including near airports, defense airports, border areas, military installations/facilities and areas earmarked as strategic locations/vital installations by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
