Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology released Electronics & Information Technology Goods-Requirement for Compulsory Registration Order I-Notified on 7th September, 2012, and it came into effect on 3rd October, 2013. Electronics &Information Technology Goods Requirement for Compulsory Registration, what is usually called BIS certification, is actually called CRS registration/certification. All electronic products in the compulsory registration product catalog imported to India or sold in the Indian market must be registered in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). In November 2014, 15 kinds of compulsory registered products were added. New categories include: mobile phones, batteries, power banks, power supplies, LED lights and sales terminals, etc.

Electric vehicle power replacement refers to replacing the power battery to quickly replenish the power, solving the problem of slow charging speed and the limitation of charging stations. The power battery is managed by the operator in a unified manner, which helps to rationally arrange the charging power, extend the service life of the battery, and facilitate battery recycling. The Key points of Automobile Standardization Work in Year 2022 was released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in March 2022, which also mentioned the requirement to accelerate the construction of charging and replacing systems and standards.
At present, the power replacement mode has been widely used and promoted, and the technology has also made great progress. Many countries and regions around the world have adopted power battery replacement technology, of which China, Japan, the United States and other countries are the most widely used. Some Dutch companies have introduced hybrid solutions based on fast charging and battery power replacement technology for the first time.
