▍Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS)
Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology released Electronics & Information Technology Goods-Requirement for Compulsory Registration Order I-Notified on 7th September, 2012, and it came into effect on 3rd October, 2013. Electronics &Information Technology Goods Requirement for Compulsory Registration, what is usually called BIS certification, is actually called CRS registration/certification. All electronic products in the compulsory registration product catalog imported to India or sold in the Indian market must be registered in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). In November 2014, 15 kinds of compulsory registered products were added. New categories include: mobile phones, batteries, power banks, power supplies, LED lights and sales terminals, etc.

South Africa’s battery energy storage market is expected to grow rapidly in the next decade, and the battery market and its value chain expected to generate $2 billion in revenue and tens of thousands of jobs annually by 2032, according to a report from World Bank. The data shows that South Africa’s energy storage demand is expected to grow rapidly. The growth in demand for battery storage in South Africa is mainly derived from the transformation of the country’s energy system, with the government gradually shifting South Africa’s electricity supply market from coal to renewable energy generation, including the introduction of more renewable energy and boosting demand from the electric vehicle industry.On November 30, 2022, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam issued Regulation No. 24/2022/TT-BTTTTT, the National Technical Regulation on Electrical Safety of Telecommunications and Information Technology Terminals, which published the latest technical regulation on electrical safety of telecommunications and information technology terminals, QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT. The regulation will take effect on January 1, 2024. The previous technical regulation for telecommunication and information technology terminals in Vietnam is Article 21 of Decree 18/2010/TT-BTTTTT of 2010, which stipulates that the relevant mandatory standard is QCVN 22:2010/BTTTT. After the latest standard is officially implemented, the old version of the regulation will become invalid.
