▍What is WERCSmart REGISTRATION?
WERCSmart is the abbreviation of World Environmental Regulatory Compliance Standard.
WERCSmart is a product registration database company developed by a US company called The Wercs. It aims to provide a supervision platform of product safety for supermarkets in US and Canada, and make product purchasing easier. In the processes of selling, transporting, storing and disposing products among retailers and registered recipients, products will face increasingly complicated challenges from federal, states or local regulation. Usually, the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) supplied along with the products do not cover adequate data of which information shows compliance with laws and regulations. While WERCSmart transforms the product data to that conforming to laws and regulations.
▍Scope of registration products
Retailers determine the registration parameters for each supplier. Following categories shall be registered for reference. However, the list below is incomplete, so verification on registration requirement with your buyers is suggested.

▍Why MCM？

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) under the U.S. Department of Labor requires products used in the workplace to be tested and certified by a nationally recognized laboratory before they can be sold in the market. The testing standards used include American National Standards Institute (ANSI); American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM); Underwriters Laboratory (UL); and research organization standard for mutual recognition of factories.NRTL is short for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory. A total of 18 third-party certification and testing institutions have been recognized by NRTL, including TUV, ITS and MET so far.

MCM serves as a witness laboratory for TUV RH and ITS on the North American certification program. All tests can be conducted in the MCM laboratory, providing customers with better face-to-face technical communication services.MCM is a member of the UL Standards Committee, participating in the development and revision of UL standards, and keeping abreast of up-to-date standards information.
