At this month, Korea Agency of Technology and Standards (KATS) issued in April that the repurposed battery module and battery system will be listed as safety confirmation items, and is drafting KC 10031 standard for this kind of products.

According to KC 10031 draft, the repurposed battery module will be required to check OCV, insulation and capacity. It will also require checking a.c. internal resistance, d.c. internal resistance and current leakage test. Battery system will be required to check overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection, as required in KC 62619.
