CCC certification related

Please note that the following standards will be implemented on January 1, 2024.

• GB 31241-2022 “Battery Pack Safety Technical Specifications for Lithium-Ion Batteries for Portable Electronic Products”. This standard is used for mandatory certification of batteries for portable electronic products.
• GB 42295-2022 “Electrical Safety Requirements for Electric Bicycles”. This standard is used for compulsory certification of electric bicycle products.

CCC starts to use electronic certificates

• According to the requirements of the Announcement of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration on Improving the Management of Compulsory Product Certification Certificates and Marks (No. 12, 2023), certification clients are recommended to obtain electronic certificates from January 1, 2024.
• The electronic certificate document format is based on the China Electronic Document Exchange and Storage Format Standard (GB/T 33190-2016), and the electronic certificate is issued in the OFD (Open Fixed-layout Document) document format. You can use OFD professional tools such as Kingsoft WPS (https://www.wps.cn/) and Mathematics OFD Reader (http://www.suwell.cn/) to view electronic certificate information and verify the electronic signature of the certificate information.
• For CCC certification certificates issued before January 1, 2024 and electronic certificates in PDF document format, they will be replaced with electronic certificates in the new format and OFD document format for the work such as the certificates renewal, change in the certificate, etc.

CQC adds certification for electronic cigarette and balance car battery

China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has developed and launched the certification business for small-capacity and high-rate lithium-ion cells and batteries/lithium-ion cells and batteries for electric balance vehicles.

1. Product name: Small-capacity high-rate lithium-ion cells and batteries

Implementation rules: CQC11-464225-2023 Certification of small-capacity and high-rate lithium-ion cells and batteries

According to the standard: SJ/T 11796-2022 General Specifications for Lithium-ion Cells and Batteries for Electronic Cigarettes

2.Product name: Lithium-ion cells and batteries for electric balancing vehicles

Implementation rules: CQC11-464227-2023 Lithium-ion cells and batteries for electric balancing vehicles

According to the standard: GB/T 40559-2021 Safety Requirements for Lithium-ion Cells and Batteries for Balanced Vehicles.

At present, the CQC Product Certification Department has begun to accept certification.
