- All other conditions mentioned in Registration/ Guide RG:01 remain the same, i.e
- Application principle: These guidelines are voluntary in nature and the manufacturers still have option for testing components and their end products sequentially or testing components and their end products at the same time as per the parallel testing.
- Testing: End products (such as mobile phones, laptops) can begin the test without BIS certificates of its components (batteries, adapters, etc.), but test report no. along with name of lab will be mentioned in the test report.
- Certification: The license of end product will be processed by BIS only after getting registration of all the components involved in the manufacturing of the final product.
- Others: The manufacturer can do the test and submit the application in parallel, however, at the time of submission of sample to lab as well as submission of application to BIS for registration, the manufacturer would give an undertaking covering the requirements requested by BIS.
