▍Why MCM?

● The initiator of UN38.3 in the transportation field in China;

● Have the resources and professional teams being able to accurately interpret UN38.3 key nodes related to Chinese and foreign airlines, freight forwarders, airports, customs, regulatory authorities and so on in China;

● Have resources and capabilities that can help lithium-ion battery clients to “test once, pass smoothly all airports and airlines in China “;

● Has the first-class UN38.3 technical interpretation capabilities, and housekeeper type service structure.

MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) has published the addition of phrase V
product list to CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) on October 1, 2020. Seven product categories are
included: wireless microphone, digital camera, video camera, webcam (finished product), smart speaker
(with and without display), dimmers for LED products, and Bluetooth speakers. The enforcement for these
products will come into effect in 6 months from the date of publication, that is, April 1, 2021.
However, right on 16th of last month, MeitY has just extended enforcement date of CRS Phrase Ⅳ
products (12 categories in total) to April 1, 2021. If no extension of enforcement date for phrase V products,
by then 19 product categories will be enforced at a time.
It is reported that the Indian government is accelerating the pace of compulsory certification of more
products to support the development of its manufacturing industry. In the next one to two years, more
mandatory product categories will continue to be announced. We will continue to pay attention and share
with you as soon as possible. In terms of certification, we recommend that customers certify as soon as
possible. Most of the products in the forthcoming mandatory fourth and fifth batch lists that are currently
announced can already be tested and applied for certification. The certification cycle is about 1-3 months,
so please pay attention to planning ahead
