▍What is PSE Certification?

PSE (Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Material) is a mandatory certification system in Japan. It is also called ‘Compliance Inspection’ which it is a mandatory market access system for electrical appliance. PSE certification is composed of two parts: EMC and product safety and it is also an important regulation of Japan safety law for electrical appliance.

The IECEE CB system is the first international system for mutual recognition of electrical product safety test reports. A multilateral agreement between national certification bodies (NCB) in each country allows manufacturers to obtain national certification from other member states of the CB system by virtue of a CB test certificate issued by the NCB.
Products must meet the applicable Indian safety Standards and mandatory registration requirements before they are imported into, or released or sold in India. All electronic products in the mandatory registration product catalogue must be registered in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) before they are imported into India or sold in the Indian market. In November 2014, 15 mandatory registered products were added. New categories include mobile phones, batteries, mobile power supplies, power supplies, LED lights and sales terminals.
