EU ‘AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE’ MANDATORY SOON,
PSE,
PSE (Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Material) is a mandatory certification system in Japan. It is also called ‘Compliance Inspection’ which it is a mandatory market access system for electrical appliance. PSE certification is composed of two parts: EMC and product safety and it is also an important regulation of Japan safety law for electrical appliance.

The EU product safety regulations EU 2019/1020 will come into effect on July 16, 2021. The regulation requires that the products (ie CE certified products) that are applicable to the regulations or directives in Chapter 2 Article 4-5 must have an authorized representative located in the EU (except the United Kingdom), and the contact information can be pasted on the product, packaging or accompanying documents.
Directives related to batteries or electronic equipment listed in Article 4-5 are -2011/65/EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment, 2014/30/EU EMC; 2014/35/EU LVD Low Voltage Directive, 2014/53/EU Radio Equipment Directive.
If the products you sell carry the CE mark and are manufactured outside the EU, before July 16, 2021, make sure that such products have the information of authorized representatives located in the Europe (except the UK). Products without authorized representative information will be considered illegal.
